Last Blog of the Week
Ok, I think I corrected all problems and the site is even slightly improved! It has the essential links and info I need in order to use it in my upcoming classes. This class has enlightened me as far as how to create pages, links, blogs (I'm happier with this than my website) etc. I enjoyed it and left knowing more than I did coming in. I intend to use what we have done as a major supplement to my classroom this year. I'll be out of town starting tomorrow for the weekend before I jump back in with another intense week of grad class at MU starting Monday. Cheers!
What is wrong with Nvu?
I am going to blame this on my antiquated computer system right now, but I have attempted numerous times to make adjustments to my site to no avail. It changes my pictures and moves things around without me attempting to do so. Every time I upload my "improved" pages, they are different in a manner which is worse, not better. My only question right now is whether or not other people are having the same problem? I am getting a new computer in a week and a half. When I do, I will try this again, but at this point, all I am doing is butchering my current site by attempting to make changes.

Nvu
I was able to download the software and use it with freewebs site manager, but Nvu is TOTALLY BUTCHERING what I intended to do. Why is that? It respaces things, replaces pictures, and the end product is the opposite of what I'm looking for. It is so out of place I won't even upload it. Anyway, I'll try again later.

Another Post
Well, another week arrives, and I now realize that I desparately need a new computer. This desktop from my college days is apparently able to handle nothing anymore. I am attempting to download this Nvu software, but so far, everything just freezes up. I suppose I will try again, but I find this very frustrating, and computers are EXPENSIVE!

Ailing back and Website
Today has been a frustrating day. I spent an hour in the infirmary getting prescriptions for my back, apparently because I've somehow managed to irritate my sciatic nerve to the point that walking and sitting is excruciating...the drive to Atlantic City in rush hour traffic is going to be a splendid experience. At least the Doc gave me some drugs to get me through. I am pretty satisfied with my blog, but my website is a disappointment. It has the essentials, but it is very much lacking in aesthetic value. The program was frustrating because I could not seem to get the spacing right. What happened to text and picture boxes and the option to drag them around the screen! It is a start, however, and I do intend to make use of it during the school year (especially the links to class forums). Until we meet again, Blog! Perhaps I will have better news.

Thoughts from Row Three
Here we are on day four of our journey. So far, I have a functional blog, a basic understanding of HTML code, and are about to embark on our quest to create a web page. My hope is that it will be comprehensive enough to be useful in my classroom. Should I pull it off, I'm sure my co-workers will be shocked, not to mention my students from last year. I'm not exactly known for my organizational skills or technological comfort and implementation. This should be an excellent opportunity to help advance myself into the modern world of technology in my classroom. Hopefully, I will look back on this entry with a sense of accomplishment rather than bitter dissapointment about the final product previously mentioned.
